"Every day I am humbled and amazed with how effective Chinese Medicine is at alleviating an array of health issues, including: physical pain, anxiety, fatigue, headaches, PMS and digestive issues. I believe the greatest gift that Chinese Medicine has to offer is that it can help bring us “peace of mind”  so that our unique gifts and talents in this life can flourish.  I look forward to sharing this medicine with you and being a partner in your health journey"

Seanna Sifflet is an amazingly generous, light-filled, intuitive and knowledgeable spirit. Whenever I see her, she gives all her attention; patiently listening to my needs and what’s going in my life and providing treatment accordingly. I pulled my lower back and as result had pain, trouble walking and sciatica down my leg. I saw a couple other acupuncture practitioners but it only until I finally saw Seanna that my pain healed and sciatica cleared, returning full mobility. She is extremely talented and I am so thankful our paths have crossed.

Traditional Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been used as a form of medicine for over 5,000 years. Chinese Medicine is an Energy medicine that is based on the flow of “Qi” (“chee”), which is described as “life force” in all creation. This Qi moves throughout our body, like water running down a river, on meridians. These meridians are distributed all throughout the body, similar to the distribution of our body’s nerves and blood stream. They connect to our organs and glands, giving our whole body vital nourishment.

Acupuncture is an ancient healing modality that has been around for over 5,000 years. It helps restore balance and harmony with the insertion of very fine needles throughout specific areas in the body.   The biggest misconception about acupuncture is the size of the needle. Most people think they are the size of needles used to draw blood, when in fact, they are the size of a thick strand of hair. The insertion feels like a little bit of a pinch and typically does not hurt. The needles are retained in your body for about 30 minutes. Many individuals experience a sense of deep relaxation during their acupuncture treatment and leave with a sense of renewed energy and mental clarity. Acupuncture helps get to the root of the dis-ease that is occurring in your body while balancing the mind-body-spirit connection.

Chinese Herbs

Chinese Herbal therapy is a powerful way to restore balance in the body.  There are hundreds of Chinese Herbs and each herb has its own specific way of interacting with the body to help bring about a sense of balance and well being.  Many of the herbs are made up of twigs, roots, berries and branches. You may be familiar with some of the herbs that are often used in Chinese Medicine such as Ginger, Goji berries, Fennel, and Licorice.  Herbs are often taken in tea or pill form. Chinese herbs provide great relief for common conditions that many have in the acting community including muscular pain, loss of voice, and fatigue. If appropriate, we will customize a formula that is unique to you.

I was new to acupuncture when I met Seanna (and apprehensive about needles). However, desperate for an alternative form of therapy for pain and stress after two surgeries, I landed in her care. In the age of “drive by” medical appointments, Seanna has an old fashioned technique of talking and really listening to what’s going on with her patients and tailors your treatment accordingly each visit. Her personal touch, knowledge and sincere passion for Chinese medicine and healing will put you at ease long before a needle touches your body
